BB27: FPA’s The Screwtape Letters & Adapting Books for the Stage

We break the mold a bit with this episode and rather than reviewing a book, we chat about adapting literature for the stage and we review the touring stage show of The Screwtape Letters presented by Fellowship for Performing Arts. This is an extremely well-done adaptation of the C.S. Lewis classic that we encourage you to check out. Also in this episode is Nicole's Fact which covers a few things you may not have known about C.S. Lewis and JD's Tip is something he's never done before: a reading challenge to the listener.

Nicole’s Bookworm Fact

...is a few things you may not have known about C.S. Lewis

JD's Bookworm Tip

...is an encouragement to diversify your reading AND the following quotation:

"You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was Dostoevsky and Dickens who taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who ever had been alive." -- James Baldwin, novelist and playwright
